Thank you for visting American Drag Racing Association. Our site is to promote drag racing and bring fun back into it. Over the last few years drag racing has become very competitive and commercialized. You very seldom see heads up racing where two cars pull up side by side and start when someone flags them, as it was in the beginning. Instead everything has gone to bracket or index racing. I believe this is why illegal street racing has become so popular again. The cost of gettting into a track to race today is too expensive for the youth. I would like to see tracks get back to flagging cars one night a week, and charging only $5 to get in to race or watch.
This forum is for fun and friendship. It doesn't matter what kind of vehicle you race, the fact is you enjoy racing. We want to promote racing without gossiping, slander or putting down other people or their cars. To them, it is their pride and joy - it is what they can afford and enjoy. So let's encourage each other with what we have. We need to start teaching the youth how to build vehilcles to safely race at the race track, not on the streets. I want to encourage the parents, the schools, and law enforcement to get involved in local drag strips. Have high school race days where schools compete against school for trophies.
